Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks and spending time with family over a nice dinner. Write about your most unforgettable meal.

Well in my family we usually don't eat turkey , so my parents usually make a variety  of foods. I remember there was this one time I couldn't forget about last year's meal because I helped make the food. It was interesting because my dish was the first one to be done . I was really happy and surprised . After all we had a wonderful time talking with each other. I was grateful that everyone could come and meet up for Thanksgiving. Today we read the book and we did a quiz . Today I learned that I need to turn in my work on time and don't have time to lack .

As Celie’s world expands in these letters, she begins noticing new things about the people in her life. Write about a moment when you suddenly noticed something funny, shocking, or unexpected about someone you see every day (a family member, a classmate, or even a teacher). How did that new discovery change the way you saw them?

When this old friend of mine ; we used to hate each other before we met. We used to see each other all the time but we barely even talked. Time passed and we started talking and communicating more. It felt weird because we still didn't know how each other's personalities were.Later on I decided to play volleyball and he would play on my time . He would always hit the ball if it were to come my way . Over time we got into further communication but yet we still would try to keep a distance . People would joke around that we would end up dating especially some friends and family members. Not until later on I found out he actually had feeling and so did I . But I knew I had seen no future towards it and I had to stop and keep a distance from him . I had to be straight up with him and he them agreed to be friends and keep the same vibe as we had before as later on we both went separate ways and ended up being in a relationship just not with each other. Today we worked on reading th...

These letters show how Celie learns from the people around her, even in small ways. Think of someone in your life who influences you in a positive, everyday way—a friend, relative, teacher, or teammate. Write about what you’ve learned from them and how their influence shows up in your daily life.

A friend who I am very grateful . He has taught me so much especially the way I was and my ways of doing things . I see him in daily life because what he taught me I think twice before making a decision. I have learned how to be brave and be able to communicate , be straight forward with people , and how to not lie about things and be responsible for my things. He has influenced me so much to not only think about myself ,but others also and how my decisions can hurt or affect  others. Today we worked on reading the book . I learned that we need to be responsible for things because otherwise if we don't  do things right we can get consequences.

At the end of Letter 21, Celie and Sofia share a rare moment of laughter that softens the tension between them. Write about a time when you and a sibling or family member shared an unexpected moment of joy after things had been tense or confusing. Explain how that moment helped bring you closer.

When my brother and I were fighting over something really dumb. We had the biggest argument and my mom had told us to stop but we wouldn't listen . She was getting tired and she grabbed the belt we both got hit . I remember my brother went first then med . We started crying but  then she said we had to apologize to each other  and we started smiling again. Today I finished my mini video project . Today I learned that making the wrong actions won't only you but also can hurt the people surrounded by you.

Celie tells Harpo to “beat” Sofia because she believes that’s how men control women, but this advice causes pain and conflict. Think about a time when someone gave you advice that sounded right at first but ended up being wrong. How did it affect your situation or relationships? What lesson did you learn about thinking for yourself?

`I remember this one time when my friend wanted me to go out with her and she told me to sneak out with her and lie to my man because he was the only one who knew. So I went out with her to a party and then we were dancing and all . But I had forgotten he had my location . So he knew where I was and my friend had called him saying to pick us up because we didn't know who else to ask since nobody else knew we were out . It was risky taking uber at night so we didn't That night he gave me a whole lesson towards why I lied to him and to never do that because what if something happened to me in the first place . Today we finish working on our projects because we have to present Monday. I learned how to work Adobe express .

Letters 11–16 show how relationships can be full of misunderstanding and pressure. Harpo wants love, but he also wants power. Sofia wants freedom, not control. Reflect on a time when someone’s desire for control hurt a friendship or relationship. What advice would you give to Harpo or Sofia if you could?

I can't really reflect on such things because we talk about people back then it's different since men thought differently back then .The advice I would give both of them is that they should both treat each h other with respect as a wife and husband . They shouldn't be stressing over each other such as oh you are the women you have to do this or cant do that . As for the girl she should also know her space and know how to speak and communicate with her man . Today we started working on our projects . I learned how to do an animation character on Adobe express.

In letters 6 -10, we see how Celie starts noticing the strength of people around her, like Shug Avery’s independence and confidence. Think about someone in your life who inspires you to be stronger or more confident. What qualities do they have that you admire and try to learn from?

A person who inspires me would be my mom. She inspires me because she is strong she has gone through a lot but yet still hangs in there. She fakes a smile to not worry us and she tries to give us all she can . She tries her best to be a good mom and she does her best by supporting us with every decision we make . Even though at times she can have her moments or when she is strict . After all those boundaries she still goes to work even if she is sick , she does it to be able to provide for us . Today we worked on answering some questions from the book . Today I learned that the way Celie is willing to do for her sister is genuine love sister trying to protect her .

After reading the first five letters of The Color Purple, reflect on your thoughts and emotions as you experienced Celie’s early voice and struggles.

You can already tell Celie's is going through so much pain . You can hear it in her voice. To me it's crazy how people still do those things in this generation and it's honestly disgusting . I can't imagine the feeling and her mindset when she get raped by her own father. You can tell she is maturing and she sees things a type of way . The way she had to hide it from her mom and try to avoid it by the baby getting killed is crazy . She is such a young little girl. Today we worked on writing down notes about the book and starting to read it. Today I learned how awful things must have been back in the 1900s for women and race .
