Celie tells Harpo to “beat” Sofia because she believes that’s how men control women, but this advice causes pain and conflict. Think about a time when someone gave you advice that sounded right at first but ended up being wrong. How did it affect your situation or relationships? What lesson did you learn about thinking for yourself?

`I remember this one time when my friend wanted me to go out with her and she told me to sneak out with her and lie to my man because he was the only one who knew. So I went out with her to a party and then we were dancing and all . But I had forgotten he had my location . So he knew where I was and my friend had called him saying to pick us up because we didn't know who else to ask since nobody else knew we were out . It was risky taking uber at night so we didn't That night he gave me a whole lesson towards why I lied to him and to never do that because what if something happened to me in the first place . Today we finish working on our projects because we have to present Monday. I learned how to work Adobe express .

Describe a hike, long walk, or outdoor experience you have had and explain what it was like physically and mentally. If you have never been on a hike, describe a time when you were outside your comfort zone or had to rely on yourself in a challenging situation. Explain what you learned from the experience.

Pretend you are writing a blog entry as Celie; the moment you uncover the hidden letters. Describe what you would think, say, and do, and how this discovery would reshape how you see Mister and yourself. Reflect on why this moment would matter so much and how it would change your next choices.

These letters show how Celie learns from the people around her, even in small ways. Think of someone in your life who influences you in a positive, everyday way—a friend, relative, teacher, or teammate. Write about what you’ve learned from them and how their influence shows up in your daily life.
